I have a 75G tank and currently have no powerheads in it. In my wet/dry filter I have a 500 GPH pump giving movment to the surface of the water but that is all I have. I do have 10-15 powerheads that the guy that I bought the tank from gave me (none of them have ratings on them but there is all different sizes) Should I put a couple of them in and if so where should I put them? The return line from the wet/dry is on the back left of the tank (comming out of the overflow)

thanks
Ray

Yup, definitely add a few of those powerheads to boost circulation. You'll have to experiment a little bit with size and placement. Basically you want good circulation throughout the tank with no dead spots.

BTW, what type of setup is this - reef, fish-only?

maybe you could put all 15 on one side wall of the tank and make one of those swimming tread mills. hahhhah

Dubge - Chris is right. See how a couple of powerheads do in circulating the water. You may want to consider a wavemaker to change the timing of the powerheads. They create a more random movement of the water.
