I just put a maroon clownfish and coral beauty of same size into my tank, now I know it will take them a little bit to get accustomed to new surroundings but the angel stays put near LR cave, and she and the clown keep brushing up against each other. Will they eventually get comfortable and venture out from the same area or start tearing each other up? Also, the clown has eaten pretty well but the angel hasnt yet, whats the best food source for the angel besides the LR? They have only been in the tank for almost 2 days now, and I know I am probably freaking out too early, but i would still appreciate some calming down from an experienced reefer. Thanks! Also, would a strip of Nori seaweed in the tank be good for the angel?

I have a pair of maroons and a flame angel. Flame was in around a year longer than the clowns and clowns were smaller than flame. But a year later they still don't like each other. I really wouldn't worry about that much actual fighting from them cause both seem to know how to take care of themselves.

When I first got my angel about the only thing it would eat was spirulina flakes but has since started eating about anything. If the flakes don't work ya might wanna try some thawing out some frozen brine shrimp and soaking it in garlic juice. It's always helped when I had fish that wouldn't eat well. Oh and yeah the angel will probably take some of the nori also.

I had a pygmy angel and for the first week or so it wouldnt eat anything, not even the frozen angel formula i got for it. But after about a week or so I offered it some formula 2 flakes and it loved it. A few days later it started eating the frozen mix that fed my other fish also. So you might want to try an herbivorous flake like spirulina or formula 2, otherwise i think as soon as she gets more comfortable she will eat more readily

I have a coral beauty and a maroon clown as well (maroon clown was around before the angel) and have had no problems with them. In fact they seem to ignore each other. I too had some problems with getting the beauty to eat, it took about 2 days, then he started going after brine shrimp.

The angel finally ate a little brine and then some flake food later today! :) And the clown continues to follow the angel around all over the tank, yet the angel just does her own thing most of the time anyway. I think the clownfish is in love.
