I was thinking about getting a trigger clownfish and reagan tang. But i was wondering if they are reef safe and compatible with a clown fish?

Does anyone know what is compatible with clownfishes?

Thanks!

Umm.. alright, I'm going to try to decipher your message first. I think you're asking if you can get a clown trigger and a Regal tang (don't we have enough named after Reagan? Sorry, see my location), and if they'll be compatible with a clownfish.

A clown trigger will NOT be reef safe, but it could live with a clownfish depending on the species of clownfish. This is very important, as some species are certainly pugnacious enough to stand up to a clown, and others aren't.

A Regal tang will be reef safe, but is not newbie safe - in other words this is a fish that's better left until you get at least a year or two under your belt.

As for other fish that are compatible with clowns, there are so many that could be listed it would be helpful to have much more information on the system so that we could narrow the list down.

Seamaiden,

I'm incredibly impressed that you managed to demunge "Reagan Tang" into "Regal Tang" !!!! I'm assuming "Regal" is a.k.a. Paracantharus hepatus?

Heh.. thank you. I don't really know of any other, but common names are buggers like that, ya know?
