IME, yes. Try a 401. I prefer Maxijets (MJ 900 would be perfect).

The nice thing about Hagen's is that they are variable output. The 802 flows between 200-400gph and forward/reverse. The 402 is up to ~ 280gph w/ forward and reverse settings.
I would get the 802. Another option is the azoo powersweep 228 (~270gph)w/rotating nozzle. They have to be cleaned regularly to keep oscillating effectively.

I have a 301 right now... The only reason I ask is cause I can get my hands on a 802 at a pretty good price...

I think I'll get it and see... If it too much... I'll save it for when I get a bigger tank!

I say if you want get the 802 if you can get it for a deal and like said above you can turn it down if needed which it probably will.
