live rock, fish, adding some corals now

I am doing nothing with calcium and carbon

What is the best way to handle using these two (adding calcium, using carbon for filtration)

Thanks!!

Test calcium level. If it is not high enough, decide which of the calcium methods you want to use. Common methods are two parts additive, kalkwasser, ca reactor, and kalk reactor. For your tank size, you will probably want to go with ca rxtor if you want to have substantial amount of hard coral in your tank.

See if you have a need for carbon, and then decide rather or not you want to use it.

how do i know if i need carbon? where is the best place to put it?

also, if I am going to have more soft corals than hard corals, do I still need to go with a CA reactor?
