The only thing that can be relied on to make a serious dent are snails. Your best bet is probably turbo snails, as they eat green hair is well as films. Fighting or queen conchs are very good as well. And a diversity of small snails wouldn't hurt either.
I think your best bet is to attack the source of the nutrients that assist in algae growth. Do you have an RO, or RO/DI? They remove the ickies in the water-change water (such as phosphates and silicates) that algae feeds upon. I have found that regular water changes with RO/DI water, along with moderate feeding, will do more to combat algae than any algae eater.
