chiller/heat

I have 100gal with 120 lbs LR some coral and five fish I use C194 filter with a PC Chiller 1/4ph under my tank the heat that comes out is way to much and the fans just don't do the trick and it is taking forever to cool down the water. Does anyone know of a way to help with this heat problem.
Was thinking about moving it to my basement but this is 50 feet round trip to the tank and if so how would a go about it and what kind of pump do i need to get.

I vented my chiller outside like a dryer

I would to do that but my tank is in the middle of the room might be able to vent it down to the basement how do i get the heat to go down the tube

If you have the space you can construct a "lamp stand" or something similar next to the tank that the chiller sits in. You can install vent fans on the cabinet/lamp stand. That way the chiller is vented, is close to the tank, and is hidden from view.
Just a suggestion.

it is a good idea to position chillers in other rooms as the heat they give off tends to rise the air temp in the room.
this can turn into a vicious circle. if the air temp is too high the chiller will have to work harder.

I had the same problem temporarily until i moved the chiller into the basement directly below the tank.

Plumbed a pump in the sump, took the hoses through the wall behind the tank, through the subflooring in the wall to the chiller and back up again -- approximately 10-12 feet. You don't need a whole lot of gph going thru the chiller so it doesn't take a $200 pump...

I keep my chiller out in the open where it's still close to the tank, but the air circulation takes the heat away from the tank and chiller. I have a PC 1/4 also and it never runs very long, just gotta have air flow. See pic. I also have insulated the lines since with foam type pipe insulation. Anything you can do to remove the hot air and minimize loss of cooling effect will go a long way to dropping room temps and reducing the chiller run time.

You're chiller might leak with that much backpressure on it. Some only recommend 7-8 ft max. See if it says anything about that in the manual.

I sit mine outside the stand right next to the tank. It keeps the temp constant at 78.5 AND I LIVE IN TEXAS!!!!!!!

The chillers work like little window units. If there is not clear airflow then the efficiency is reduces big time
