I've changed my rockwork around what seems like 100 times.....I think I'm getting closer to something that looks halfway decent...input? This is in a 65 gallon.
Coming along nicely. Aquascaping is an subjective issue. Personally, I'd like to see you create more height in one spot (like a tower) and some tunnels/caves for critters to swim/walk/float through

i agree -- i think it's great that you've created a structure that your critters can 360 around -- adding multiple pass-throughs and tunnels will give them even more places to hide/live/explore.
A tower would rock Len, no pun intended. I love the look of two seperate areas of rockwork stacked almost to the surface of the water, with an area of sand between them. Drool, if only my tank was big enough to do that...
LOoking good..like Len said, its subjective..Its your tank, do what you want to make it pleasing to your eyes, after you have to see it more than anyone else...Good Job and welcome to RDO
I would make it a little more open also. The more open you can make it, the better flow you'll have with less effort. It also allows more room for corals to grow and fish to swim.
It just looks like a pile of rocks, you need to open it up more for sure! I just setup a 60G (transfered from a 29G and did not add more rock just used what was in the 29
Mine looks similar to yours Flashpoint..there are plently of crevices for fish and critters to hide..i have a fire fish, damsel and goby that have no problems hiding with the rocks all piled up like that...
It's still the way it shows in these pictures, and the more I look at it, the more I like it. There are several caves and tunnels that go all the way through, they're just hard to see in the pics. There's also lots of little crevices for things to hide in. I'm a little worried about having places to attach corals and things, but I think I'll just wait til that time comes and re-work it as needed. I still intend to add two or three more peices on the right side near the top to make that side a little taller, to where it would almost reach the top of the water. Thanks for the compliments and suggestions!
Hi all,
IMO it is a sweet setup, my wife diagrees go figure. I have a 65 sitting empty never used due to my 150 but for a midsize tank it has an excellent foot print
Good reefing
