I have two emerald green crabs in my 38gal FOWLR tank, I have been noticing lately that my best two pieces of LR have white claw marks all over them even over some of the purple coralline algae. So my two questions are #1-- will the crabs destroy all of the coralline algae? and #2-- will my LR still be as functional filtration and well being wise?

I would not worry about it, most likely will help spread the coralline around a bit. Yes your live rock is still very functional.

I agree with Dave. They shoudn't do too much damage if you can ignore the few bald spots. Coralline may actually impede biological filtration since exposed rock probably has more usuable surface area for bacteria to colonize. So your rock will be functional, maybe even more so :P
