Overflow questions

How far below the water level do y'all put the inlet to you overflow. I want to use a Durso standpipe and was wondering.

Also, I have a 30" deep 225 gaL with 1.5" drains and 1" returns. Would you use one large pump, or two smaller. I hope to use the bulkhead drains to feed both a sump and a fuge and act as a closed loop circ, system.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I put mine about 4-5" below the water level to reduce the cascading water sound.

As for pumps, I'd use two (or more). Redundancy is always a good idea in case one fails. I use two smaller Iwakis on my tank versus one large pump.
