I have small bubbles everywhere in my tank! There is nothing putting bubbles into the tank. They are all over the rocks and covering 80% of the sand bed. Dose anyone know what they are from?

thanks

Are you also getting brown algae? I had this when I first started my tank too. With time, it will go away.

If you describe the system a bit more it would be easier to offer some useful feedback.

What are you using for source water, skimmer, circulation, etc.? How old is the tank?

Well I was using filtered tap water but just switched to RO water. My skimmer is a Prizm. Circulation I have the return pump, 700GPH and 2 powerheads, a 402 and a maxijet 600, not sure the flow on them. The tank is 5-6 month old

They are not there in the AM when I turn the lights on but seem to build up during the day. I have recently switch lights from 4x55PCs to 2x250MH (with old bulbs)
I will try to get a pic but I suck at taking pics of the tank

thanks

If bubbles appear only after you switch on you lights, it's probably photosynthesis results from algae films.

I have that if I let my diatoms go out of control. I also have bubbles in the refugium, which I don't clean.

Sounds like you've got sufficient light to keep your algae happy!

For some tank, there is no way to stop the bubbling other than to turn all the lights off and add some bleach to the tank water to sterilze the tank 8O

There is nothing wrong with it... why do you want to stop it?

No it is definatly not from my skimmer. It is in my sump and It would have to go through 2 sponges and sink to the bottom where the return pump is :)
