Is this recently purchaseed this Ricordia and think it is in the process of splitting. I noticed 3 mouth like structures when examining them. I was not aware that an asexual creature could split into 3 beings on one split. Here are two pics of the Ricordia. Can this split into three at once? The greenish colored bubble tips are what I think are the 3 mouths.

As most chemical physicist says, it really depends on your time scale...
Seriously, it is almost always in twos unless you do some intervention. Spliting in three takes a lot of coordination, and if you can prove it, you just discover the existance of The Mighty Being.
