I've kept a couple over the years, both in FOWLR tanks. Great citizens and a showy specimen for the medium sized tank. I did keep some shrooms with one and he didn't bother them at all. Agree with the other post about it being a crap shoot in a reef. They can be mofos to catch too if you need to remove it.

Coral Beauty's are a great fish but like all dwarf angels they may nip at corals. I persoanlly would say that the chances are bestter than 505/50 that he would be fine but it's just my opinion. Flamebacks, potters, and Argis are considered to be the safest dwarfs out there but the Potrters is a tough fish to keep.

Have had a coral beauty with a goniopora and he never bothered it. It (the coral) lived for a year and a half in my 20 with NO bulbs. I was bummed when it wasted until I found out that they don't last more than a few months on average. I thought the angel was nipping it when I wasn't looking, and was about to falsely accuse him. No coral in that tank right now, as am working on my big tank, but I wouldn't hesitate to put another coral in with him. I figure if a tasty looking long tentacle flower pot wasn't tempting, I'll be ok.

I've had a coral beauty in my reef tank for well over a year. I've never seen him bother any of the corals. He does like to graze on algae (bonus).
