Is there any way to stop my venturi style skimmer from putting bubbles in my water? I have noticed they are starting to build up under the rocks now and really do not want that.

Is the slimmer new? Sometimes after breaking in they will stop producing so many bubbles. If not you could try placing a baffle of some sort infront of the water comming out of the skimmer, this would cut the bubles down.

What kind of skimmer do you have, & how long have you had it?

That's a nice looking premnas in your avatar,, she looks annoyed! I had one that spat sand at me everytime I walked past the tank,, just me,, noone else.

The skimmer is an Aquarium Systems SeaClone 100. It is about 5 months old and running in a 46 gallon tank.

Maroons, ugh. I hope you are very careful with what tankmates you select if any.

I had a beautiful mated pair but had to get rid of them. Killed of 2 fish...

See if the company that makes your skimmer sells an attachment such as a "bubble box" to reduce your bubbles. Most skimmers that I have had have had such an attachment...

I think the Maroon I have is quite docile. Maybe its just a fluke but I have a Royal Gramma and a Blue Devil in the tank with it and have only witnessed the Royal and Damsel fighting.

The Manufacturer site doesn't make anything that I could find but offered some information. Thanks for the lead 420.
