The Problem:I could use someones help here.My problem is green looking grass called maiden hair,green grape vines and green balls that if there poped in the tank they will spread I found out the hard way, i've tried fox face, sail fins and hippo tangs they work for a short time and die off know i'm using a lettuce nudibranch thats been in for a month.Before the animals were added I was cleaning by hand, all this came from a few rocks that looked pretty cool. The System:I have a 10 gal. reef tank thats been running for 6 years it has 2-27w qad pc and 2- 9w pc blue.Man made skimmer that does the job and 2-500 rio's for circulation a 2inch sand bed and 20 lbs of live fiji and tonga rock, water changes are done every week 1 to2 gal. with distilled water and topped off I add B-Ionic no.1and2 and kent iodine I could use some suggestions thanks for your help.

Try cutting back on the iodine, and add more herbivores. Growing and harvesting macro alga is healthy for a reef tank.

thanks terry, but all that macro algae is choking out my coarl and I will cut back on iodine and add more herbs. thanks
