I just watched one of my hermit crabs switch shells, and it carried with it what looked to be eggs. They were kinda of a forest green color. Anyone have this before? Do they stand any chance of survival?

IIRC it's a difficult prospect to successfully hatch hermit eggs. I think the larvae are free swimming, so if they hatch in your main system I'd guess they'd get eaten pretty quickly or removed by filtration.
