Would someone bold enough to lick test each and every coral for us and give us a heads up?

Reminds me of toad licking back in the high school days.......

LMAO I remember that. That was quite possibly the funniest thing I had ever seen. I was pretty stupid in high school, but dear jesus. About like my one friend about dying from drinking rubbing alcohol, stupid.

I have eaten a valonia before.

Kinda salty.

That clears up a lot for me, thanks Hes.

Something doesn't quite jibe here, though, because the Palytoxin in the link on the previous page is said to be such a grevious substance that when you get it in you; you're dead.

Anyone have experiences directly that they can share? It would seem that that would be why a doctor would look at you like you're crazy: a dose of Palytoxin and you should be dead within minutes??

No wonder SCUBA instructors tell you not to TOUCH anything?!?

The thing is, getting it "in" and "on" are different. I got some on my hand once to many times, and my fingers were burning and stiff the next day. Swollen up like bratwurst. It really sucked. Taught me a lesson too.
