Other skimmers perform better because they produce finer bubbles (and more of them). They also tend to have a much larger (effective) reaction chamber. This results in more dwell time, with smaller bubbles, which ultimate results in better waste removal.
The original SeaClone was notoriously ineffecient and most here try to save beginners from buying one by warning them off. I'm sure no harm was meant. When you have some experience with one of the better skimmers, the differences will be obvious.
