Seaclone skimmer problem

Other skimmers perform better because they produce finer bubbles (and more of them). They also tend to have a much larger (effective) reaction chamber. This results in more dwell time, with smaller bubbles, which ultimate results in better waste removal.

The original SeaClone was notoriously ineffecient and most here try to save beginners from buying one by warning them off. I'm sure no harm was meant. When you have some experience with one of the better skimmers, the differences will be obvious.

Appologies if i got frustrated. I no way am i taking the piss either. I came in here asking about how to curb my water flow, quite happy with my skimmer. I am however open to advice. But "Seaclone that is the problem" is hardly the responce i was looking for. If you can't be civil, don't bother. When i asked ok how is the euro better ( i am trying to understand) , i don't get a responce, in fact i get accused of taking the piss.

I did'nt come here for research on good and bad skimmers, just some advice from your lot who have been doing this for years. I appreciate that i'm a novice at this, but don't i deserve an answer now that you lot brought the subject up?? If i had told you i had somthing better i would at least take the time to tell you why in my opinion i thought it was.

Go get yourself a Lolipop and stick with a goldfish in a bowl. Your negativity here will kill OUR fish.

narny, I only asked you not to take the piss with us after that one post where you said something along the lines of "you people are really up your own arses", or something like that. I couldn't advise you how to get this particular skimmer working because I've never used it. My original intention was to simply remark on Fatal's better suggestion than what I had lined up. He/she, I think, helped you get it working, yeah?

Please, please, please try to remember that we are NOT cracking on you, we're cracking on the skimmer, well.. except for the bit about taking the piss, but hey.

"A SeaClone? That is the problem!"

Does this sound like the answer from someone who has never used said skimmer and does'nt have a valid opinion? I don't know you, i don't know your sence of humour, i had a valid problem and asked for advice, what am i suposed to think? Noone is a "fish expert" we just make different levels of educated guesses.

I do see what you are saying, and yes it's all cool, but you see what i mean yeah??

the sheer amount of crap coming out of your mouth at the moment is clouding my tank... If you've nothing better to say, keep it shut.
I have 2 other tanks, a 4 foot discus of 2 years, and a malawi, you can keep the goldfish for your sexual escapades if you like.

I did read the entire thread. I only counted one post of Bang's that could be taken in the least as a jab. And it was only after you'd already jumped all over a couple people.

It certainly wasn't intended as such, and if you'd been around our community longer, you'd understand that in general we are very tolerant and even welcoming of both new members and new hobbiests. What we tend to not be tolerant of is people, new or not, who come in and start blasting at other members, especially if those other members are just trying to offer advice or first-hand experience. :?
