Ok....I am gettin kind of uncomfortable with this topic. I have a Seaclone 150.....on my 100 gallon Fish/Creepy Crawlie Tank. I have had it up for over a year with little problems. My Clone is unpredictable. Sometimes it drwas lots of thick green gunk and needs to be emptied and cleaned within a weeks time. Othert times(much more frequent) I don't have to empty the cup for a month or more. My water tests out perfect. I had to adjust the air flow a few times during the year but that is expected. I keep hearing about these skimmers that collect a "huge" amount of gunk. I don't know about them..I have not had them but I do know they cost more ....way more in some cases than the Seaclone that I have. I am just not convinced to scrap my Seaclone 150 for something else as my water parameters remain good. BTW.......I have not done a waterchange..ever..Just topoffs using my well water.

It all boils down real easy Bang.. - And you already know what it is too....

If it 'aint broke, don't fix it.

For me, it wasn't cutting it, so I had to make a change.

I've done fish only type tanks back over a dozen years ago with nothing more than an old Visi-Jet skimmer - which IMO is half the skimmer that the Clone is.

You already know theres no one set answer for everything. - Why sweat it?

I'm in same boat w/you. I've got a Prizm hangon.
I know it's not the greatest, but w/my low bioload it does fine.
If the Seaclone is working, don't sweat it :)
