Hi, everyone, I was the person who was asking about what an inverted anemone looked like last week--and so far, i gotta be thankful that my condy's looking good! (BTW, thanks for the clarification)

anyway, i just got a domino damsel today, and i noticed that he keeps hovering around the tentacles of the condy . . he's not really IN it, but just swimming around it, and he's not really going away to the other side of the tank. do you think he wants to host in it? do damsels even host in anemones to begin with? also, what're the signs of a fish that's about to host in one? this is too exciting! :)

Thanks in advance!

I have a Domino Damsel that did the same thing, to a condy. The damsel is the only fish in the tank. I think after time the domino will host the condy....I lost me condy to a powerhead after about a week old. Time could only tell
Hope this helps 8)

Yes, damsels are indeed known to host anemones. Also coral heads and similar reef "structures".

Enjoy it, it's somewhat unusual to see this in the home aquarium.

No I dont think I will be getting another condy, it took days to get my tank cleaned after the Condy -vs- Powerhead. If I could get rid of this domino I may think of getting another condy...here is a photo of the domino and the condy
