New to the forum but not the hobby. Spent a lot of time in fresh water (at one time 140 cichlid tanks). Have had a 75 gallon reef running for a few years. Healthy tank but is loud. I am in search of quiet parts. Pump in sump being changed to an eheim. Have changed fans to computer (low speed and quiet). Is there a way to quiet the over all cabinet w/out raising the heat to much. If so what is the product and how. Sorry if I am in the wrong spot with this post. Thanks in advance

Look in the DIY section.... some people use sound insulation and rubber feet to make the stand more quiet, but there is only so much you can do.

Sometimes a skimmer can produce a good ammount of noise...

What are you using?

Also, my ballast for my MH lighting produces a good hum too.

You COULD always put the ballast in another room.

I've used acoustical absorbing foam (sonex) and dynamat to line the interior. But you should find where the noise is coming from and try to eliminate it at the source. If the pump is vibrating too much, put some soft feet below it, or elevate above the sump floor.
