ok...i just upgraded my 55 w/ 20L sump to a 75 w/ 55 sump. the 75 i have made into a coral + fish. you all now how we are with our hobby. i now have to find something to do with my 20L. i'm not to into the idea of starting another reef up, but are there any other aggressive fish that would be able to live in the 20g setup happy. i would really like a dwarf lion, but am not sure on the size tank needed for it. i have also considered certain eels that do not get to large. thank you for your time.

How about an Angler fish or stone fish. They pretty much sit still until feeding time. Some of the Anglers are very cool but can get pricey.

Get a velvet damsel. Thats about as mean a fish as you can get. They are awesome looking too.

Maybe a mantis tank.

I like the idea of frogfish or anglers...For a seahorse tank, it would be prefered to have a higher tank vs a shallower tank. Seahorses arent really known for being predators..They're slow and delicate and dont compete very well for food...

Angler would be ideal. Just make sure you get a good filtration system. I used to keep a small angler in a eclipse 6. It was able to consume up to 20 ghostshrimps a day. Water quality is hard to maintain at that rate.

You could house 2-3 angler in tank that size. But just be forwarned, they can grow pretty big. I'd assume by then you will be moving on to 300G w/75sump and leave the 55G to the grown up angler.

If you can find a Fu manchu lion that is eating it could be kept in a 20L, I think there are a couple of other dwarf lions that could be housed in this tank as well. The dwarfs don't swim much if there are plenty of places to perch and they are well fed. 20 gallons would be on the low side though.
