I have these small (about the size of a large grain of rice)members of the sponge family growing profusely all over the piping in my tank and inside the sump. They are going to start plugging up stuff I am sure. I read there is a nudibranch that eats them but I have no idea where to get one. He would have to be one big nudi to handle all of these.
Any ideas how to control these things???

Hey Bill,

Aegires sp. nudibranches eat Leucilla, but I don't know anyone who sells them. And I warn against using any type of nudi to control/eradicate organisms in reef tanks. Nudis are simply too delicate and usually don't do much good in our tanks before they die a premature death.

I should also note Leucilla rarely grow in very high flow, high light areas. I don't find them clogging up my water pipes, although they grow everywhere in the sump.
