Blending food...?

I am considering just taking all my frozen food and throwing it all in the blender and putting it in ziploc bags and freezing it flat . What I have is
oyster eggs
mysis
brine
formula one
dt's
cyclopseeze
blood worms what do you guys think?

I do it all the time.

My recipie:

6 uncooked jumbo shrimp
1 tsp garlic
1/2 cup R/O Water
2 Tbsp DT Phyto

Blend in a blender until the shrimp pieces are 1/8 in or smaller.

Add in about 2 inches of a bar of cyclopeze and about 10 cubes of mysis.

Blend LIGHTLY or the mysis and the cyclopeze will get turned to mush that the fish won't track in the water. Your corals may like it but the fish will get really hungry because they will only eat so much shrimp.

I have all carnivores to date, but if you have more vegetarians, you might substitute nori and or chaeto and or brocolli for some of the meaty foods.

Nope, i feed blood worms to all my salt water fishies. They love em :wink:

OK, but I thought I remembered something about the fats or proteins in food derived from marine organisms being better for marine fish than the freshwater equivalent.

I may well be getting mixed up though.

Nope, I was thinking the same thing BT...just because the fish love them doesn't mean it's good for them. Kinda like myself and Capt. Morgans :lol:

After I mix mine in the blender- I put it back into the empty packets (like Formula 2 comes in) and then freeze it. handy cubes. No joke- last week i had some in the blender- my husband thought I was whipping up an epicurean delight, and tasted it...YUCK!

Yeah my wife said "your not using my blender for THAT" so when she left I did.... So I sat back with a smile on my face and watched MY fish eat while she mixed up her breakfast shake. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
