Good morning,
I am in the middle of cycling my 12g nano cube and the peramiters are:
old dryed out and cleaned, what used to be live rock, 10lbs
8lbs of sand
cycleing for 1 week now useing Seachem Stability as perscribed
amonia .25
Nitrite 1.0
Nitrate 50+

My question is this should I do a water change do to the fact my nitrates are so high or just let it go until I read 0s on amonia and nitrites? Any help would be appritiated.
Thanks
Bob

Bob, since you used dead rock, there is no reason to do a water change.

Makes sense. Thanks . I will just leave it alone and do the appropriate water changes after cycling to get my nitrates down before I start introducing and creatures.
Thanks again

the dead rock is what is raising your nitrates. its all waste. if you want to lower the nitrates i would put alive live rock in there
