Hello again everybody. I am realizing I don't have enough current in my tank. Her is my current setup:

29g undrilled all glass tank
glass versa top
45 pounds live rock
2 1/2 inch live sand bed
CPR2 HOT skimmer with bio bale
24" Dual Satellite 2x65watt SunPaq w/Lunar Light & Fan Lighting
1 power head for circulation (i forget the rating)
various clean up critters including hermits and snails
1 peppermint shrimp
1 yellowtail damsel
1 2" clown (I forget the variety)
set up for just over 1 year

I want to get started with corals as I've previously talked about here and will probably just start with some zoo's. I don't know if my current is strong enough though. What would you all consider a good bet for this set up. 1 powerhead or two? and what flow rates. How would you position them within the tank? I was thinking about having one in the upper right corner facing left and one in the lower left facing right. Opinions?

Thanks!

I would put them in the back and point them toward the front glass, I find this gives the most chaos to the flow, instead of giving one steady stream....As for flow, I would crank as much in there as you can afford to get. I would get the gph over a grand, some may not agree with that methodology though. just my .02

I have 2 seio 620s in my 20H. I love the flow, and at only 70 some-odd dollars for the pair it was a good deal. I like the dispersed water flow, as opposed to the bullet like flow from a conventional powerhead.

The more flow the better...Unless your fish are being battered about. And don't aim at your corals either.

I have a SEIO 620 and an MJ1200 with a Hydor rotating head aimed at each other. Works well enough but I could have used the SEIO 820.
