carbon loose in tank

I just screwed up, and apparently a few pieces of Kent Marine Reef Carbon got into the wrong chamber on my filter, and it blew into the tank when i turned the filter on. I got as much of it out as i could, but there is still some loose pieces in there. Is there any danger of this? Will it be ok to leave it in there, or does it have to come out? Will it damage my live sand bed? Thanks for any help!

I've had peices get in my tank from time to time and haven't had any problems.
