Wal-Mart & Culligan...

I've been using those filling stations at Wal-Mart for my water top off & changes. Anyone else use those things?? I tested the phosphate and found at that time it was .2 Eventually hope to have my own RO/DI unit but will have to wait till I have a house and get the 155 setup (poor tank, just collecting dust).

I haven't used the WalMart one but I used the one at my local supermarket,,, said RO/Di right there on the machine,,,, the TDs tested at 18ppm ,,,, not bad and never had any tank problems,,, certainly better than 139ppm like my tapwater. I used their water for about 3 months,,, all that lugging 5 gallon containers about got real old, real quick.

I got a cheap $100 3-stage RO/Di off Ebay,,,, TDS tests as 1ppm. Was worth it and then some.

I've never bought RO from a store, but if I did, I would be sure to have a TDS meter handy so I could check it before using it.

I've never bought water either, but I can tell you that Inland Aquatics uses and sells Culligan RO/DI water. But not from a machine, it's trucked in but I'm not to sure how; ie bottles or tanker truck.

I used crytal geyser for a while but I was getting cyano bacteria...now I take 5gallon buckets into my work(biotech company) and get RO/DI water and my cyano is gone.

I measured the PO4 and it was somthing like .1 or .2ppm way better than my tap.

I ran from the Wally World water for a good 5 months. Seemed to work fine for me. Recommended if ya don't hane an RODI.

There is a forum to sell stuff, don't spam these boards hocking your wares. If you were honest and said you were selling these up front it would have been one thing, but to start posting "Here is what I use" is dishonest, state your intention upfront.

In any event, the formula you are following is the hallmark of a scam, but I apologize if that isn't the case.

Im sure you get alot of that on these boards and I understand where you would be standoffish (no pun intended) at such an advance.my wording may have been a little off. I do use this system and many people on this board use systems of my design. It is good that folks like yourself keep an eye out for scams and such to look out for your fellow reefers.
I guess I posted this in the wrong area. The old school mods on this board should be able to attest that I mean no harm and I try to be as helpfull as possible. This thread was relavant to an advisory to a good price on an RO DI, unfortunately the RO DI with a good price was mine.
My argument is not for posting a link here as I understand where you are coming from. My argument is for my own credibility. Have a good night.

I'm sorry if I came across sounding like an ass, but yes, these boards get a lot of that. Whenever someone starts a new account only to sell thier stuff it raises warning flags... so you can understand why that doesn't make the best first impression.

I completely understand. To be quite honest with you the only reason I couldnt use my old screen name is because it was ARS Aquatic reef systems and I sold the company a few years back.
Its cool that you keep a look out man!
