I have a frogspawn that was doing great in my tank. nothing has changed but the last few weeks it has been closed up. I started to notice some littel brown spots on the ends of some of the tentacles. over the last few days it has gotten more noticable and severe. The heads are still closed. I'll try to get some pics of it later tonight. I was thinking i might want to try a freshwater dip. How long should I dip it for? I also read somethign aobut an iodine solution? How much iodine/per parts of freshwater? saltwater? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't see any brown spots....anyway if it is brown mucus-like, then your froggy might might some infection. You might want to break move that infected branch from the rest of the healthy ones or put a little more flow to blow the mucus away. An idodine dip might help too. if the brown spots are flat worm, then we are talking a whole new ball game. It would help if we can see what the brown jelly thing is like.

yeah that is the "before" pic. I wanted to get another pic last night, but i was stuck at work too late. Hopefully I can get one tonight. All four branches are infected. It almost looks like the brown stuff is on the inside of the tentacles.

If that is the case, then it's some kind of infection...if you can, break those branches off and keep them away from the healthy ones.
