Ok I have made these tons of time and I know its easy but I want to get some help with a few questions.

I ve got the pop bottle setup and It works well but how long do these things actually live? I make some up and put them in the tank and I wish i could have a way of keeping them constantly instead of eveyonce and a while. Can I just keep the air supply going for weeks and feed them something?

When you put them in the tank do you need to shut off power heads to keep them from getting all gummed up inside and killing them threw the impellers?

Thanks for the help in advance

I was actuly thinking about when doing water changes, setting the water up two weeks in advance and the second week have brine shrimp in with it, I didnt know if that would be bad or not, just that way they could have food incase of any shock can set in.

Brine shrimp are really only good as a nutrient source for less than 24 hours after hatching since they go through so many molts they use up the nutrients they are born with. I would not worry about them getting killed by impellers because they are so small but turning off the powerheads to target feed may be a good idea for a short while.

It's tough to raise baby brine into adults unless you culture them in green water/algae. People who keep dwarf seahorses do that frequently.
There's good articles about that at www.seahorse.org but the server seems to be down.

Here's an article on "decapping" eggs, which means you are taking off the tough outer layer which does a couple of things. It makes the resultant hatch more nutritious, and it eliminates the excess pollution the egg shells (which have no nutrition anyway) create.

You can gut load newly hatched BBS with additives like Selcon after they ingest the yolk sack they are born with which makes them more nutritious, see articles:
