SEIO water pumps/powerheads

Hi all. I'm wanting to add extra current to my tank and am thinking about adding two of the SEIO pumps listed below. However, I have a lingering hair algae problem (Jeez I hate this stuff) and I'm afraid that it will clog the intakes.

Any thoughts? Better ideas?
