My tank is pleaged with hair algae. Last night when I was shooting the rock with a baster a mushroom came off. I put it in a low flow area in hopes he might reattach I think it let go of the rock because of the hair algae. I want to remove it if this means its dead.
Should I toss it or give it time? If so how much?
Thank you
Teddy

Give it some time... some people even use a tooth pick to impale them to rocks, and they reattach. I would suggest that you do some research BEFORE you try it. Other people would praise you for getting rid of 'shrooms because they multiply so fast!

If you can try a low flow area on the rocks, and "drop" it in a little slot, and it should attach in about a weeks' time.

I second wings' suggestion. Give it some time to reattach. It's unlikely dead.

Good luck with the algae battle.
