Thanks again sorry it took so lond to read your post.
You asked:
I would suggest gettig a test for alkalinity that gives a reading rather than a "normal" because is it normal for a reef tank or just salt water?
Will do!

what salt mix are you using? Oceanic? We buy the water already salted from our lps store. I will suggest to my husband to increase to 10-20% as opposed to 5%. We were told 5 gal once a week.

Our lps guy is coming today. I have lots of questions for him. Why all the additives...etc...

We have stopped adding them as of this week. We do have the B-Ionic. We stopped adding this because of the Calcium problem. Should we continue with it? We were told to stop. so we did last week.
Did tests today. Everything is the same as last time I posted results. My husband did a 5gal water change.

Our lps guy will be here any minute. I will most definately come here and ask questions before we do anything.

Thank you very much for your help.
Love,
Andrea

No prob...get an alk test that gives a numerical reading, this is best. Easier to track changes, and wil give a comparable reading rather than just a "normal".
The water changes suggested of 5 gal is less than 5% for a 90 gal. It isnt doing anything at this rate. This is why you arent seeing changes in your readings. You arent diluting anything.
Just continue larger water changes for now, with aged, circulated water. Do not add anything else. watch your alk, calc and ph readings, testing them a few hours after a water change.
I would definately ask the water source for the water changes! what salt, what method of filtration they use etc...
Good luck!
