Tempature swing

My chiller sucks...Is a 3 degree tempature swing bad? My chiller is only suppose to cool 1 degree from 80 to 79 (79 being my target temp) but the damn thing keeps going down to 77 and then shutting off even though I have calibrated it to my tank temp. Damn Artica!

slow swings should be ok mine goes from 77 when the fans and lights are on to 79 when they are both off, I still see no problems.

Ditto. That's why some chiller has a separate controller that you can change if you don't like it. c.f. built-in controller.

Between day and night, my temp swing is around 2-3 degrees. I dont think its so bad. Goes between 79 and 81.

I don't think a 3 degree swing is too bad.
