Well I recieved my Bubble Tip Anemone today and after a 2 hour drip acclimation I put it in my tank.My 2 tomato clowns went nuts they love the thing. when I put the Anemone in the tank it stuck to the rocks then it let go and now is in the back of the tank behind the rocks in a rather tight spot should I just leave it alone for a bit to see if it can get out? Or should I try to move it? It seems like my clowns are trying to push it free.

Thanks Bob

You can do either. I would try to move it though just to be sure he's not stuck.

I'd be patient for a day or so. They really don't get stuck, unless it's "intentional," in most cases. Trying to move it manually could tear its foot--which can be fatal.

If it doesn't move, you can direct a powerhead at it--it will get irritated and move to a more desirable spot.

You pretty much have to get lucky with these guys. I have a huge one that set up shop right in the center at the front of my tank. I guess I was lucky. When it splits, however, I never know where the offspring are going to go. They ultimately end up at the LFS, of course.

James,

About how long does it take for the anemone to be mature enought to split?

Just curious.

Thanks,
