I have 2 clowns, and i never notice them sleeping...

My tangs hide on the rock, my scooter pops in his hole, the flame angel has is little cave but the clowns just keep swimming. ALL NIGHT LONG, I know cause I am up all night long and see them just swimming along, but its wierd they stay close to the annome but dont go into it.
Like right now, the only thing out is my brittle star and the clowns swimmin in thier corner.
I just put the annomme in 2 weeks ago so I dont think they will host with it yet, but I have NEVER seen them sleeping.

THe light period is from 10am -11 pm and I am usally up untill 3-4 Just wierd I guess.

Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....

didnt you see Nemo?

My clowns stay in the upper corner of my tank, and swim all night long in the same place every night.

They are called clowns for a reason-and I think it is besides the coloration.

:D their behavior is funny. I have 2 and the larger will follow you around the tank and everytime my roomate or i feed or perform tank maintenance he will persistently attempt to bite our hand until it's removed from the tank....especially when ya get close to his anemone.

Whew! My clown does the same thing. Guess I won't worry. Every other fish has a hiding place/sleeping place (Gramma, Dwarf Angel, Damsel, Goby) but not Nemo! He just swims near the top of the tank..sometimes in a vertical position. Doesn't seem interested in the bubble-tip anemone I added a couple days ago...but we'll see over time.

Some clowns never take to the anemones. Mine have visited it occassionally, but they dont hang near it.

I think in the tank, where they dont feel any need to protect themselves from predators (as in the case especially of tank bred) there maybe a "learned" behavior that outweighs the natural instinct of finding protection...

Guy may know, he breeds them. I'm curious on thoughts for this...
