Ok ive had it, the stupid rio pump that i am using on my bakpak just stops about once a week, i have to take it apart put it back together and then it starts to work again, so obviously its messed up...so what king of pump should i get and what size? the one that is on there now is a rio 600. I know i should probably get a better skimmer but cant afford it.

Oh and is chateo way better then caulerpa?

thx

Purchase a MaxiJet 1200 with the venturi kit, most BakPaks come with the MaxiJet now.

Chaeto is much better than Caulerpa because it doesn't go asexual (or is it sexual? I can never remember ). When Caulerpa reproduces, it can nuke a tank in hours, an it's invasive as heck ...

MJ 1200 is the best way to go, also much quieter than the rio. Chaeto is definitely the way to go as well; if caleurpa becomes sexual, it will usually ends up dying (unless you run your tank lights for 24 hrs a day).
