Hi Ladies & Gents,
Just a quick question for a friend who cannot access the net' I'd told him I can try help him before he returns his skimmer by asking here. I've never needed to do this, as I built my own, but I can't seem to get it working for him either. He has a TMC V2 Skim 800 skimmer, the usual 24-48hrs 'break-in' period where you're required to keep the level of bubbles below the collection cup, then turn the dial to produce wet skimmate / desired.
This thing is just not producing anything, the pump works fine, and I've positioned it no more than 20cm from the water inlet for him like it says. The most its producing is exceptionally dry skimmate on the walls of the cone, on the way up! If you turn the dial all the way to where the water level is suggested to be, no bubbles are produced. IMO this really does look like the worst skimmer I've ever seen, any ideas? It's been at least 3 weeks I'd say without a single cup produced, not even 1/4 cup!
Many thanks!
Lee
