If everything is to it's liking it will come out and into the light before long. It may even divide while hiding. Good luck.

Yeah BTA's usually like to anchor their feet underneath an overhang and then extend and expand out when the lights are on. It will probably try to find a location from which it can do it.

As far as the splitting, I have found that a shock of some sort (injury or change in environment) frequently causes it. Be careful what you wish for though - I now have 6 of the things.

FWIW I have always kept my salinity at 1.025-1.026. No idea of what others' BTA experiences at lower salinities are.

Ive noticed the same thing as far as division goes. I have had untold riches given to me from the LFS as trades for the BTA's that I can't house.

They seem to do better at the higher salinity IMO.

ok seems as though maybe i should raise my salinity tomorrow

You should SLOWLY raise it over like a week's time. Rapidly raising the Sg will shock everything in the tank!

i know that maybe i should have chose my wording a little better i meant tomorrow i would start raising my salinity i made that mistake once before of rapidly raising the salinity it killed just about everything in my tank except a few fish

76-82 is ok IMO... I try to stay around 79-80 as much as possible. The big thing is keeping a STABLE temp over the course of the day.
