scratch repair

anyone know of any reef safe products that repair scratches in a glass aquarium, i have one nasty scratch in my display tank its really bad and i've heard of ways to repair glass but i don't know of any that are reef safe any suggestions would be helpful

sorry, but I'm not aware of any reef-safe way to take scratches out of glass. Hopefully someone else will chime in here.

You need to drain it if it is glass. They use the same polishing compound for lense making.

draining it is not a problem i just want to make sure when i refill it there won't be any major problems

They are just dirt. Make sure you risen it out well, and it won't hurt anything. Nasty if you breath it in your lung. Some polishing compound are diatomesous earth, which is dead skeleton of diatom.
