depends on the species and geographic source. the peppermint shrimp genus was recently changed from 2 poorly described species that sometimes were the same, to 5 or 6 species. recent genetic work has also shown that shrimp from the east coast of florida are genetically different than those from the keys. one of the new species resides only in tube-sponges, which make collecting easier, but that species may not eat aiptasia as well as shrimp from places that aiptasia grows.JustPhish":1860l2vy said:A peppermint shrimp shouldn't bother an LTA, but there's also no guarantee it will eat aptasias either.
