They eat microalgae and small organic particles. DT's phytoplankton is a jsut about the only commerically available food source for them that I know of. That, and a mature tank with lots of stuff floating around in it.
I have never fed my two (large store bought) feather dusters anything. I used to dose with DT's but dont anymore. They still seem to go poo poo quite regularly.
