faucet adapter

any1 uses faucet adapter on their ro/di unit?
whats the white plastic piece that screws into the faucet call? and y is it plastic? it sometimes pops out n wears out the grooves.
would i able to replace it with a metal piece in hardware store?

Mine is all metal. I think you're referring to the diffuser.

mine is metal as well.. couldnt find the right one at home depot but found it at my local plumbing store. It was 5 bucks..

I found that white piece in metal at my local hardware store (true value) Its just an adapter. I think its also used for hooking up dishwashers to a faucet if that helps you.

Yeah, I would hit an ACE Hardware or similar, not Home Depot or Lowe's

Do what i do when i have a part and dont know what to call it. Hand it to them and say "i need 1 of these" LOL I do believe you have the name right, it is an adapter!

It's a double male reducer. Bring it with you to petsmart and see if you can buy the python reducer which should be similar in size and it is metal.

i brought 1 at my local hardware on queens blvd n 65th. they r more reliable on having things like these.

They have those at home depot in the faucet/hose sections, you have to look really hard because they come in these stupid little bags. In Flushing it's in the same area as where you find mesh sink traps and things like that.
