I've had a FO set up for 6 months and now I've decided to go to a FOWLR. I added already cured live rock 2 weeks ago. It is a 150 with a maroon stripe clown and 2 eels a few hermits and snails. My Aqua C EV-180 has been skimming fine until yesterday. I noticed 1 of the air intakes was clogged, so I cleaned it. Now I'm not skimming at all. Is it due to a cycle?

Thanks In advance for any assistance in this matter.

The live rock may have something to do with it. According to their instructions, EV skimmers can loose their foam head when excess lipids are introduced into the water. The crud stirred up in my tank when I clean it stops my skimmer from working for an hour or two. Hopefully, your skimmer will start up again within a week as the live rock settles in.

+1 - just give it some time.
