i have 2. the tigertails are supposed to be the only ones that aren't toxic.
i started out with 1. he was seen very little, popping partially out near the base of the rock taking in globs of "dirty" sand and pooping out nice, white sand turds.

he was about 4" long when i got him about 6 months or so ago. recently i have seen him on one side of the tank, and the other at the same time. after some research i found out that they break apart to form 2 or more cucumbers from time to time. i now have 2- 12 inch tigertail cucumbers. a pretty interesting member of the tank. i can't imagine these guys are good for a DSB, but i don't care about that. here's an old pic when i first got mine:

x2 12'' from 1 6''!....i wish coral would do the same! haha...does your burrow deep? or does it stay relatively around the surface? there pretty cool looking things and i hear there great cleaners...it was the poison part that kinda scared me...ive heard horror stories about sea apples and pink cucumbers dying off behind live rock and killing off all the inhabitants...but if the tiger tail isnt poisonous i may give it a try....

Thanks X

na, that means i feed so much, to make sure that everyone is satisfied, that plenty of food makes it's way to the substrate.
