I just got this coral about a week ago. Wanted to know if this in normal coral reproduction. looks like this pulsating mass, a little smaller than a golf ball is about break off. Any special care.

:) can you attach a picture, without one I can't begin to guess. What type of coral is it? Some do reproduce by fissioning off parts of themselves.

Yup, it is forming a daughter colony. Just keep an eye on it, so the piece that detaches itself doesn't get blown around. One way to do that is to cut up a food container so the rim forms a little corral like I described here in a thread I posted awhile back...

It does look a little bleached, or is it the exposure of the picture?

Thanks for the information. and yes the picture is a little washed out. I will up date the photos as tit progresses.
