my Blue Hippo Tang is fading.

I am new to having a saltwater tank. I bought my hippo tang about a month and a half ago and I have noticed a week or two ago the color is starting to fade. There are no spots on the tang. This morning when I was feeding them it seems to hide in the corals. It comes out once in a while. I have been feeding them live brime shrimp, frozen brime shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp, frozen spirulina brime shrimp, and seaweed. I do water changes every week. I have noticed that it has been rubbing himself on the rocks and corals. My yellow tang does this too. What's wrong with my tang.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Alas, there isn't enough info to diagnose, and to be honest, it's hard to figure out what the problem may be even with the best info (which is probably why you got no response). I hope it turned out ok, but if not, my condolences.

Rubbing on rocks indicates parasites, but unless you can see spots, I wouldn't do anything other than improve their diet with macro-algae and nori.

Without having any details I'd say your hippo tang is a little stressed.

How big is your tank?
How old is your tank?
How many other fish do you have in your tank and what are they?

Might be able to give you some ideas of what the issue is if you can throw us a bone here and give us some details.
