Bristle Worms

I was looking at my tank this morning and saw some pink worms with little dusters on the side. I finally ID'd them as bristle worms or at least pretty sure I will post some pics later probably in the hitchhikers forum just to make sure. I researched them a little and saw they were dangerous to Corals and smaller crustaceans, right now I only have FOWLR and a few red legged crabs, I was wondering will they be dangerous to my Clownfish? Also what is best way to get rid of them if/when it becomes necessary? Thanks

I think bristle worms are pretty harmless.

I haven't had a problem with them. I actually kind of like them. When I fee my biocube they all come out and I have one that Is about 8" long. They haven't harmed anything, they are excellent cleaners of the crevices.

Not to worry they are great detrious eaters. But, if they become overwhelming the easiest way to get rid of them is to put a piece of shrimp in the toe of woman's knee high nylon stockings, tie it shut, tie a string on the end and put it into the tank and turn the lights off. The bristleworms get tangled in the nylon stocking and you haul them out. Oh...it does also attract any crabs and shrimp in the tank so don't leave it in too long.
