Hello everyone.. I just started building a 60 gallon reef tank. I have a 20 gallon sump under my stand, my tank is drilled with a glass-hole overflow kit (700 gph). I'm having trouple plumbing to my sump and back up.. Do I use PVC pipe for my drain? Then us flexible tubing for my return? How big of a return pump should I use? Thanks

I like to use PVC for everything. For a 60 I would suggest somthing that would provide around 400 gph after losses. If you flow to fast through the sump you will have noise and bubble issues. Are you going to use an external or submersiable pump?

Here is the thread from the last tank I put together. Has some pics of my sump, plumbing etc... Hope it gives you some ideas.
