Hello everyone....I am currently running a 50 gal uniquarium (35 display area and 15 sump area separated on back of tank) with a total of 108 watts of ho florescent light (1x 1800, 1x 6700, 1x actinic) and am supporting some mushrooms, button polys, duncan etc with no problem. I am interested in switching to halides, mainly for the aesthetic purposes, but i wouldnt mind experimenting with some sps as well. I am interested in the halide/florescent/led combos; I enjoy the idea of having the refraction and power of light from the halides with the controllable wavelength of the florescents, etc...The issue i'm having is that every fixture I can find with the features i'm looking for which is also withing my price range would be putting out around 7-10 wpg in my setup....am I going the wrong route by looking into halides altogether?
Also, please keep in mind...
* I eventually want to move into a 46 bowfront and i would like to use the same fixture light after the move
*I am open to any suggestions!!!!
